Top 10 beaches in US that allow pets



One of the most favorite leisure destinations, for most of us, is a beach. It is a place where your thirst for relaxation is quenched, as you are in the proximity of a massive water body. It is a magnificent site to hang out if you aim at deriving ease from nature. After a laborious week, as we all want to catch up some refreshment, so does our pets. Why not carry your pet along for a beach walk? It would be a brilliant idea and would serve excellently for both of you, as far as your respite is concerned. However, before you set foot on the beach, you aim to visit with your pet, you must make sure that it allows pets otherwise you may be penalized for violating the rules of the beach. Here, I provide the top ten sea beaches in US that allow pets. Take a look.

1.      Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area: - popularly known as the “Dog beach”, is located at 391 Third Avenue Manasquan, New Jersey 08736 Monmouth County. It is a 55-acre beach and partially wooded area is part of the Monmouth County Park System. It supports a variety of diverse habitats as well as an abundance of plant and animal species. Many migrating and resident birds have taken sanctuary within these 55acres. Recreational boaters, fishermen and others seeking passive recreation also enjoy this unique area. You can move in with your pet whenever you feel like, as there is no time boundary and it’s absolutely cost less.

2.      Fort De Soto Paw Playground and Beach: - is located at 3500 Pinellas Byway S, Saint Petersburg, Florida, US 33715. The Paw Playground has large fenced areas for both large and small dogs, including dog showers for those hot days. Dogs are allowed anywhere in the park on a six-foot leash, except on any beach. The Paw Playground area is the exception -- dogs are allowed on the beach, and they are allowed off leash on that area of beach. They can also run free inside the fenced areas. On a hot summer day, you can cool off your dog by hosing him down, and drinking water is available too. The park also has plenty for two-legged visitors too -- an old Spanish fort to explore, gorgeous parks, overnight camping with plenty of amenities, and picnic areas.

3.      Sunset Beach: - is located at Cape May Point Area799 Sunset Blvd, Cape May, New Jersey, US 08212. It allows pets from 10 am till dusk, but it is absolutely free. For food, there is the Sunset Beach Grill which is pet friendly at the outside tables. Sunset Beach also offers a nice gift shop open daily featuring souvenirs, books, and collectibles. Sunset Beach is also famous for the concrete ship of Atlantis which has been "grounded" at Cape May Point since 1926. Your day wouldn't be complete without the flag ceremony held nightly from May through September.

4.      Algiers Beach/Gulf side City Park:- One of the many pet friendly beaches of Sanibel Island, Algiers Beach makes a great escape for you and Fido since it's located adjacent to a portion of a nature preserve. Dogs are allowed on a leash, and owners must clean up after their pets. There are picnic tables and restrooms available, and an hourly parking fee is charged between the hours of 7 am to 7 pm (free after 7 pm). It is located at Algiers Lane and Casa Ybel Road, Sanibel, Florida, US.

5.      San Diego Dog beach at Ocean Beach: - Perhaps the most popular canine hotspot in San Diego is the Dog Beach located at the northern end of Ocean Beach. Here, dogs can roam off leash at any time of the day. Owners should take care to pick up after their pets. After a day at the beach, you may want to head over to the Dog Beach Dog Wash to give Fido a bath. Located at 4933 Voltaire Street, the Dog Wash is just two blocks away from the beach. It is located at W Point Loma Blvd and Voltaire St, San Diego, CA, US 92107.

6.      Walton Rocks Dog beach: - is located at 6700 South Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach, Florida, US. You are allowed in this beach, with your pet, everyday from sunrise to sunset and it’s absolutely cost free. It has attractive picnic tables, restrooms and plenty of rooms to roam.

7.      Key West dog beach: - is located at Vernon St. and Waddell Avenue, Key West, Florida, US 33040. Dog Beach in Key West, Florida is a Fido favorite. Dogs will have some fun in the sun here, but be sure to keep a close eye on your pup, as this is a rocky beach. After getting a little exercise on the beach, head over to Louie's Backyard, which is located next door to the Dog Beach and is a pet-friendly place to grab a refreshing beverage.

8.      Anne’s beach: - is located at 80000 Overseas Highway, Islamorada, Florida, US. You are allowed in this beach from sunrise till sunset and it doesn’t require any expense. Anne's Beach is a very secluded dog beach with plenty of shade. There are poop bags and even a fresh water bowl for dogs available. There's even a good deli just north of the beach if you want to have a picnic at the beach.

9.      Myrtle Beach state park:- is located 3301 South Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, and South Carolina, US 29577. Pets are not allowed on the beaches from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM (7 days a week) from May 15th through September 15th. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas year round, provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Admission is $5.00 for adults.

10.  Brant Beach Dog beach:- is located at 6805 S. Long Beach Blvd.Brant Beach, New Jersey, US 08008.The Jersey Shore's only designated dog beach lies on the Barnegat Bay side of Long Beach Island across from the Long Beach Township Municipal Building. Dune fencing allows your dog to run off-leash on the beach and in the water. Owners must pick up after their pets. You are allowed in this beach from dawn to dusk.
