Going out with your four-legged or two legged furry companion generally requires an extra concentration, in gathering all the information’s and chalking out the trip fastidiously. This extra concentration ensures that you don’t have to come across problems, while on a trip with your pet. Visiting a place and that too with your pet, requires a vast range of information gathering. It is very much important to have these information’s at hand, before hitting the road with your furry companion. Today I am going to provide you with some notable information’s about ‘Pet-Friendly Airlines’.
Baggage class
Many airlines do not require reservations for pets checked as baggage. Genuinely, this means the airline may not know until the last minute if there are pets on the flight. Some airlines may load pets alongside baggage, and your animal may not receive the quality of care you are expecting.
Cargo class
A reservation is required when your pet travels as cargo. Pets will be taken care of at the airline’s cargo reception, not where you check in for flights. An advantage of this is that airlines can plan for the number of pets on board and where they are located in the cargo section of the plane.
In the Cargo class, you will be provided a Pet-Carrier, for carrying your pet. You will be given the option to choose the carrier that suits the best for your pet. The first and the foremost thing you must ascertain is that the carrier is big enough, so that your pet doesn’t feel suffocated in it. Next thing you must see is that it has a good locking system and a strong handle, which should be convenient for you to carry. If possible place your pet’s pillows and blanket in it, so that your pet feels cozy. Keep your pet busy most of the day and during your journey with useful toys.
We need more of this in the UK, its so difficult to fly with your pet over here.
